CORE FOCUS AREAS
Coaches of Competence. Champions of Prevention.
"The Water Safety Syndicate exists to advance the science of aquatic competence through research translation and professional governance. We believe that improving drowning prevention requires more than producing research. It requires translating evidence into professional reasoning, supporting evidence-informed instruction, and developing governance frameworks that help aquatic professionals make better decisions. By connecting public health, pediatric injury prevention, motor learning, and aquatic education, WSS is building the professional infrastructure needed to strengthen swim instruction as a critical component of the broader drowning prevention ecosystem."
